Friends, voice chat, waypoints and support
The last few updates added more to Ember than everything before them, so here's the short version of what's new and where to find it.
Play together
- Friends on Shift + Tab. A side panel over the game, like you're used to: who's online, what server they're on, and a chat that syncs with the launcher.
- Parties. Invite up to eight friends, chat as a group and see where everyone is playing.
- Voice calls inside the game. Call a friend or your whole party without opening Discord. Push to talk or open mic, with a volume for each person.
In game
- Waypoints. Press B to drop a marker; it shows its name and distance through walls. You also get a red one where you last died.
- Over thirty mods and HUD modules, from a compass and a target HUD to AutoGG, mentions, a nick hider and a numeric tab ping.
- New nametag icons. A crown, gem or shield marks the Ember team; everyone else on Ember gets the diamond.
When something goes wrong
The launcher now has a Support tab. Open a ticket, read the team's reply and answer it without leaving the launcher. If the game crashes, one click sends the log to us, and for the most common problems the crash window tells you the fix straight away.
